Before you start reading these rules and regulations let me clear that there are many 'types of Hostels' and each kind of hostel has different rules and regulations. Here I am including rules followed by kind of hostels where peoples especially college students and office workers live by paying a monthly fee and get admitted to the hostel by filling the form of admission.
Be cleared that these rules are not from any kind of hostel authority, While writing these rules and regulations of the hostel, I am taking reference to a strict kind of hostel from Kathmandu. These rules and regulations may not be applied for every hostel, And let me clear that hostels are not forced to follow these rules so, whether these rules got applied or not completely depends on the hostel owner and hostel staffs.
Generally, the following rules are applied by hostels in Nepal, India and many other countries.
Smoking, Drinking or any other Narcotic consumption are strictly prohibited inside the hostel compound. Strict action will be taken against such actions.
Hostel staffs or owner will not be responsible for your personal belongings.
Students must take care of equipment, furniture given to them.
Students must turn off all electronic equipements if there is no use.
Students are not allowed to organize any kind of group activities inside hostel rooms.
Foods will be served within a specific time. wasting food and water is not permitted.
Visitors are allowed within a day time only or only within a specified time by the hostel.
Students can't enter other students room without permission from the students of that room.
Any loud activities are not allowed after 10 pm.
Students should pay their monthly fee before the 10th day of the month. Otherwise, the hostel owner may include a delaying fine on a monthly fee.
Maintain silence in common areas from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM to ensure everyone gets a good night's rest.
Always clean up after yourself in the kitchen, bathrooms, and common areas. Wash your dishes and put away any items you use.
Be considerate of others' personal space and belongings. Avoid taking up more space than necessary and keep noise levels down.
Only registered guests are allowed in the hostel premises. This helps ensure safety and privacy for everyone.
Adhere to the hostel's check-in and check-out hours to avoid any inconvenience for staff and other guests.
